I’ll be at OtakuFest here in Canberra this coming weekend, and will be offering incentives (such as free books) to people who contribute to Undad on the spot. How were your weekends? I didn’t do a hell of a lot, Saturday I attempted to start building my carboard R2-D2, read the instructions and found that I needed a couple of things (craft glue, and a knife of exact 0), so I went out to the shops to grab them. Had to look for a birthday present for my Dad as well, so I looked around the shops a bit. #Marvel heroes multispec specilization series#.#Marvel heroes multispec specilization update#.#Marvel heroes multispec specilization install#.For a lot of people, there's no satisfaction in that. Right now, you could put in full work hour week grinding bosses and still not see a single drop of what you want by the end of the week. Of course, whenever you bring up this argument there's always those people who automatically assume you want the loot in question to "be handed to you" or "to just fall out of the sky." When in reality, I don't think anyone wants that, I think the good majority of people making the complaints about drop rates still want a challenging game and still want to put in work towards getting the loot, but they want to be able to do it within a reasonable time. So while RNG might be RNG, it doesn't change the fact that the rarity of some of the items in game is way too low. There's plenty of numbers and variables and various other mathematical systems in place that work to provide any particular item its "drop chance" or "rarity". Likethe developers are coding in the loot and when they put in it's chance to drop they just choose the "random" option. The problem is, it's a dumb response because it makes the loot system sound too simplistic. The "RNG is RNG" argument is going to come up as it always does, ufortunately. The only content in this game where you need to absolutely min max the shit out of your character is red raids and the biggest wall for them is omega points. Lastly I find the argument of "I HAVE SO MANY CHARACTERS TO GEAR WTF DROP MORE GOTKS" bad because i highly doubt you have 10 characters who you need to be perfectly min maxed to accomplish what you want. Why complain about gotk or boss artifacts the true super rare items in this game are trifecta+ cores or perfect insignias. Ontop of thisi have around 10mil credits in chests so at a measly 100k i can swap artifacts and not care.Īlso gotk isnt going to make or break your dps its a good item but it isnt the end all artifact you have to have and there are plenty of alternatives. I have around 2k odin marks and i have about 5 or 6 full blessed + legendary characters. If you put time into this game you will have other resources to obtain artifacts you are after. If you do farm them realize your chances of getting a gok are slim. Dont farm kurse or any boss alot that isnt buffed ie cosmic event. Most of my time in the game hasnt been farming specific boss items. I have 700 hours in marvel heroes and have farmed about 6 or 7 goks. So I advise, basically, just chilling out and letting it happen naturally. It was also, incidentally, a fantastic way to fill up pets with cosmic gear and dupe uniques. That perspective really helped me not hate what I was doing. It was a thing I would do, but not a thing I would beat myself up over. I would also join my guildies if they were running it, as getting warped in right at the end is obviously super useful (the catch is it looks super douchey if you never warp them into stuff in return). I would do it on cosmic if it came up in a daily shared quest, and I would run it a few extra times. I started Kurse to get a GOTK for a hero I wanted to take into raids, and using my prior experience trying to get the MFH, I went in with a different perspective. I've run literally hundreds of cosmic MODOK runs, and never gotten a single Mental Focus Headband. So my piece of advice is to alter the manner in which you try to get this thing. But the boss-specific system is second only to the retcon system in terms of things I loathe (and the latter is largely ameliorated via multi-spec). I love Marvel Heroes a lot, I've spent almost $1,000 on this fucking game, and I won't stop spending because I enjoy it. The boss-specific system in this game is terrible. I had originally written a post suggesting you check our r/Bitching if you were just looking to complain.but you know what, honestly? You have all the right in the world to complain.
